IREX Europe working with young reporters and Sens Interdits theatre festival

Sens Interdits invites theatre troupes from around the world to take part in a bi-annual theatre festival in Lyon. This year between 19 and 29 of October 2017. IREX Europe is collaborating with Sens Interdits for the second time. This year we will be working with students and young journalists who have been recruited as “Youth Reporters” to work on the festival.

The International Journalism Festival is held annually in Perugia, Italy, and is considered to be one of the biggest media events in Europe. It attracts journalists, academics, students and Media agencies, who get free access to keynote talks, workshops and panel discussions on media in society.

Media literacy promoted by Moldovan libraries at Partners Fair

Media Literacy was among 60 innovative services presented by libraries from the Novateca Network at a Partners Fair on December 9 at the National Library of Moldova. 48 libraries participated, with four libraries (Orhei, Fălești, Taraclia and Bravicea) showcasing their Media Literacy activities.

The role of social media on influencing elections dominates a Meeting of the EU MEDIA LITERACY EXPERT GROUP

Brussels, 15th of November 2016 – The EU Media Literacy Expert Group met in Brussels in November to discuss innovations in Media Literacy. IREX Europe’s Deputy Director Flora Graioni was invited to attend. (@EU_MedLit, @MediaEu, #EUML16). 90 participants from 28 Member States, 4 candidate countries, UNESCO, the Council of Europe and 20 European media professional associations and civil society networks attended.
