Impact Hub Moscow (IHM), a business incubator, innovation lab and community of entrepreneurs, is inviting applications from Russian women interested in creating and running social business ventures. Russian women from all backgrounds, but especially those with some business experience and/or involved in women-led CSOs and those residing outside of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg are encouraged to apply. This three-month, all-expenses-paid incubator program will help 40 selected women to develop their ideas into viable, independent social businesses.
IHM will also offer seed funding and travel grants to help promising women entrepreneurs to set up their social business ventures, hire staff, make sales and establish business ties in Russia and abroad. The deadline for early applications is the 7th of April.
This social business incubation program is implemented within the framework of the EU-funded project “We Act” (Women Empowerment Action in Entrepreneurship and Media) in partnership with IREX Europe and 7×7. “We Act” (15th of January 2020 – 14th of March 2022) aims to promote women’s empowerment through supporting women-led social entrepreneurship and women’s role in media.
The project activities are specifically designed to ensure post project financial stability for the beneficiaries. The action will support the Russian Government’s efforts at all levels to implement its National Strategy in the Interest of Women for 2017-2022.
