Improve your communication! Achievements of the joint initiative.

In the context of the initiative organized in collaboration with the ICOM (Institute of Communication) of the University Lyon 2 and RESACOOP Rhône-Alpes network support for international cooperation, the final session of the Directed Work -Improve your communication! - was held on Friday, 9th of December 2016, at the University Lyon 2, Campus Portes des Alpes in Bron.

Students presenting the results of the joint iniciative.

During this session, students presented the work done during 2 months, in collaboration with the chosen organisation, that was followed by a feedback session on the proposed initiative.

This innovative formula of cooperation between university students and local organizations proved to be a practical and useful exercise for all the actors involved: students, university, RESACOOP and the local organizations. On the one hand, students had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice by drafting a communication strategy, improving the existing communication (via Facebook, Instagram, flyers and brochures) following the organization’s needs and requirements, on the other hand, the organizations benefit from fresh and creative ideas to solve their daily and strategic communication.

Moreover, it was a good chance for the university professor (the coordinator and mentor of the initiative) to observe and assess students’ practical skills and performances.

IREX Europe took part in this exercise and we are happy to announce that with the help of young specialists we have a new design for our website, a graphic charter as well as many tips for annual report and a strategy to follow in order to improve our communication with partners and donors.

In the following days, IREX Europe is planning a meeting with the student team in order to discuss thoroughly all the advises and see future possible ways of collaboration.
