Georgia : Media Strengthening Programme Georgia : Media Strengthening Programme IREX Europe is implementing the 18-month Independent Media Strengthening Programme for Georgia in collaboration with the World Association of Newspapers (WAN), key Georgian media experts, the Georgian Regional Media Association and the Civic Development Institute, the project will support the independent media’s role in a hoped for “second wave of democratization” in Georgia.
Indonesia :  Promoting Tolerance and Dialogue through Interactive Theatre in Eastern Indonesia Indonesia : Promoting Tolerance and Dialogue through Interactive Theatre in Eastern Indonesia The Promoting Tolerance and Dialogue through Interactive Theatre in Eastern Indonesia project was designed to bring youth from conflict and post-conflict areas into productive dialogue through an innovative use of theatre, and to build local capacity for ongoing work in conflict prevention and mitigation. IREX Europe worked with an Indonesian counterpart, the Center for Civic Education-Indonesia (CCEI), to implement the project, which is funded by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s Strategic Programme Fund.
Kosovo : Support to Kosovo Media Institute (Phase II) Kosovo : Support to Kosovo Media Institute (Phase II) The European Commission-funded Support to Kosovo Media Institute project aims through the Kosovo Media Institute to contribute to the development of high editorial standards for print and broadcast media and facilitate a free, responsible and sustainable media landscape according to European standards as Kosovo works toward the goal of entry into the European Union.
Serbia : Technical Assistance to Radio Television Serbia (RTS) Serbia : Technical Assistance to Radio Television Serbia (RTS) The IREX Europe Technical Assistance to Radio Television Serbia (RTS) project assists the station in its transition to true public service broadcasting through consulting on financial management, sales and marketing strategies, as well as professional development opportunities for journalists.
Ukraine : Journalism Education at Ukrainian Universities Ukraine : Journalism Education at Ukrainian Universities IREX Europe is part of a consortium led by the BBC World Service Trust to improve standards through the Journalism Education at Ukrainian Universities program. The two-year project, funded by the European Union, is establishing the foundation for long-term professional exchange and educational reform triggered by the Bologna Declaration of 1999.
Yemen : Young Women’s Leadership Programme Yemen : Young Women’s Leadership Programme The Young Women’s Leadership Programme in Yemen works with young women, ages 22 to 25, to build technical and professional skills for leadership roles in civil society and media. IREX Europe and its network partner IREX, work together with local partner, the Girls World Communication Center in Sana’a, 100 young women have the opportunity to gain essential technical and life skills through training and work-study opportunities.
